1. What is Planet Interim's added value for me as an interim professional?

 

  • As an independent online platform, Planet Interim makes the fragmented interim market more transparent for interim professionals, their customers and mediators, by making interim assignments from more than 35 interim websites visible and searchable.
  • Planet Interim is not a mediation agency and facilitates all involved parties within the interim market. Planet Interim is not linked to insurance companies, banks or large employment agencies. This platform can therefore be developed into a platform for all customers and interim professionals.
  • Planet Interim can also make the ‘micro market' of an individual interim vacancy transparent via unique Premium interim assignments. This means interim professionals can see the lowest, highest, average and most commonly offered hourly rate beforehand. This saves time and improves the price/quality relationship for all parties.
  • Planet Interim offers interim professionals the opportunity to generate a more detailed profile compared to other platforms, which can be added to with specific codes and information which are important for a good match (for example ‘function groups' - a level deeper than specialist area - ‘specialist skills', knowledge of languages, computer literacy, etc). The starting point is: it's better to have 1.000 interesting and high quality profiles than 10.000 vague CV's. Inactive profiles are periodically asked for an update and otherwise removed.
  • There are no sudden ‘hidden' costs when a match is found at Planet Interim (for example, approximately € 250,00 per month with various ‘networks'; other mediators are paid a margin of between 20 and 30%. This will often result in thousands of euros per month). The completely transparent pricing of € 25,00 per annum for Premium Membership is therefore (more) interesting to an interim professional.
  • A customer who instantly places an assignment on Planet Interim will only pay around twenty euros per week per advertisement for very focussed exposure, irrespective of whether a subsequent match is realised. Quality costs money. Not a great deal, but completely free doesn't exist (positions including a HR Director a.i. have been filled via Planet Interim, you can calculate the advantage for all those involved yourself).
  • In order to further increase the quality of the profiles, the pre-employment screening services and competence and personality reports are also made available. Premium members also have the option of using the online reference tool, which makes references visible for customers when they view a profile.
  • Notifications with specific types of assignments or interim professional profiles will only be sent to those interim professionals and customers who have specifically asked for those profiles or types of assignments. So no mass mail outs with irrelevant profiles or assignments which are sent out to absolutely everyone. You can set the notification specifics yourself.
  • The English http://planetinterim.com website is being developed for internationally oriented professionals.
  • Planet Interim offers free tools like Interim agreements, Timesheet and Evaluation Forms and the Rate Indicator.
  • An overview of all interim agencies; these can be selected based on specialist areas.
  • All of the ten specialist areas have their own environment with assignments, their own forum and news from within that specialist area, selected from prominent sources.

2. I have an account. Why can't I log in?

 

You can log in using the vertical blue bar on the left using your email address, which also serves as your user name. You need to type in your password which was sent to you in the white field below it. Please note this is case sensitive!

Even with the new password I can not log in
If logging in with the new password (still) fails, it could mean that previously stored data such as stored in 'cookies' and 'temporary files' (containing eg previous login information) conflict with the new information that has to be filled. It is recommended to delete 'history', 'cookies' and 'temporary files' (eg via "Internet Options" in Internet Explorer) and then try logging in again with the new obtained data.

3. Why can't I react to interim assignments and why am I not shown any external assignments?

 

This means you are not (yet) logged in or your account isn't quite ready to be used. It usually means your profile hasn't been completely filled in. We recommend you to go back to your own information and add your work experience, education or other incomplete sections.

Please don't just complete the first registration page (Personal Details - "General"). You will be sent an interim page after the first registration page, notifying you that a password has been sent to you for possibly completing the registration process at a later stage.

A number of different sections follow after this first page, namely Company Details, Specifications, Summary, Education, Work Experience, Specialist Skills and Miscellaneous.

4. I have received a password; why have I received notification that my registration isn't complete?

 

Please don't just complete the first registration page (Personal Details - "General"). You will be sent an interim page after the first registration page, notifying you that a password has been sent to you for possibly completing the registration process at a later stage.

A number of different sections follow after this first page, namely Company Details, Specifications, Summary, Education, Work Experience, Specialist Skills and Miscellaneous.

5. Are URL's, my (company) name, email addresses and telephone numbers blocked in my profile?

 

Your company name, the URL to your website and email address and telephone number are naturally accepted and shown in the appropriate places. However, we want to avoid every Tom, Dick and Harry being able to access the interim professionals registered with Planet Interim on the internet. Customers must be registered with us before they can contact interim professionals.

It's also of the utmost importance that only those customers who are seriously interested can contact the interim professionals. Customers therefore need to be logged in themselves and dip into a very small amount of their budget in order to see an interim professional's complete profile, including contact information. Only then can we trace who gets in touch with whom. This increases the quality of the contact and limits privacy risks.

If all contact information is immediately released onto the internet in the interim professionals' public profiles, then the above model wouldn't work. This is why the system will block any URL's or telephone numbers and your own company name which are entered in places not intended for these. Examples include entering this type of information with your ‘personal summary', your ‘work experience', etc.

6. Why are certain sections like ‘Education' and ‘Work Experience' compulsory?

 

Planet Interim strives to be the best possible interim platform for both interim professionals as well as customers. This means that only current, complete and correctly registered interim profiles can be made available to (potential) customers.
It really is quite notable to have to make vital information compulsory, as every serious interim professional would benefit from profiling himself as completely and clearly as possible.

So the minimum compulsory number of three different work experiences should, for example, not present anyone with a problem. It goes without saying that we would recommend completing the work experience section as completely as possible and don't limit your chances by only including three assignments or positions.

We like to invest in user convenience. Interim professionals can now import (parts of) their LinkedIn profile via an advanced tool. The quality of a platform depends on the quality and completeness of the profiles which have been registered. Incomplete and non-current profiles will scare off potential customers. This means interim professionals would not benefit from the platform.

7. Why can't I register my Interim or Management B.V. in the "Work Experience" section?

 

Your company name, the URL to your website and email address and telephone number are naturally accepted and shown in the appropriate places. However, we want to avoid every Tom, Dick and Harry being able to access the interim professionals registered with Planet Interim on the internet.

For example, our intention is for you to provide concrete information regarding where and who you have worked for in the work experience section. Which positions and assignments you have actually worked on. It's not the intention for you to present your own (interim) BV / Ltd as an employer, nor to simply place a link to a website/CV somewhere else on the internet.

If you, as an interim professional, are reacting to an interim assignment or if you have been found by an employer, then your profile, as registered with Planet Interim, will be linked to your reaction and shown to the customer. It's therefore of the utmost importance that your profile will provide customers with a clear image.

The LinkedIn Import Tool, especially developed for Planet Interim, will assist you with registering your profile and keeping it updated on Planet Interim even more quickly and easily.

We make every effort to support interim professionals and their clients to realise the best possible match between job(s) and candidate(s). The fact that registration at Planet Interim is quite extensive and occurs in a certain structure has many reasons. One reason is to let you think over your profile and to stimulate you to present yourself as good as possible to (potential) customers. That takes more time and effort than the mindless uploading of a resume.

More reasons?
  • Employers prefer using a similar structure for CVs / profiles that they have to review, especially a structure that is designed for faster recognition of the added value of a professional. As a result they can focus on the content without having to search for the relevant information every time in CVs that have a completely different structure and lay-out.
  • In addition, this structure enables potential clients to search for suitable candidates directly and for free in a easily accessible way due to the anonymous candidate profiles that are displayed on Planet Interim. Elsewhere on this page it is explained how this works.
  • Only logged in clients have access to your contact details and your full profile. As a result only genuinely interested clients are able and will seek contact with you.
  • In short: it is also in the interest of interim professionals that the registration structure has been set up this way.

Your details, for as far as these are present and available, will be sent to the applicable page of your Planet Interim account. You will need to add any missing information yourself. Don't forget to save your information!

You will only need to select the name and address details and the codes for sectors, specialist areas and function groups, which customers can use to find interim professionals.

Alternative, faster registration when you have many projects and functions on your resume
In addition to the LinkedIn import tool, we are obviously working on making the registration easier without losing quality. Until then, you could also choose to divide your resume in larger parts. Especially if you have many projects on your CV this can be a good option: the 'copy / paste method'. In the registration section "Experience", each set of input fields can consist of combined projects, assignments or functions. Eg as a result the period 'from - to' describes multiple functions or assignments.

Example: 'Period from: March 1, 2000' and 'To: October 1, 2008', 'Company Name: Various fmcg / retail organizations', 'Function name / assignment: various marketing assignments.'. Then paste the information regarding a number of positions or assignments from your own resume in the input field for 'Tasks & Responsibilities'. You have writing space available up to 2,000 characters per 'function / period'.

9. How can I change my password?

10. Why would I want to change my free standard membership to Premium membership?

11. Why doesn't the reference tool and email service for interim assignments work for me?

 

This is because these services are only available to interim professionals with Premium membership. The advantages of Premium membership are countless:

12. Why can't I react to Premium interim assignments?

 

Only Interim professionals with Premium membership can react to interim assignments. The advantages of Premium membership are countless:

13. Why can't (potential) Customers see my complete CV free of charge?

 

It's important that only seriously interested customers can get in touch with registered interim professionals. We also need to be able to trace who has contacted who. It's also important, from a privacy point of view, that names and surnames can't instantly be found on the internet. Customers therefore need to be logged in themselves and dip into a very small amount of their budget in order to see an interim professional's complete profile, including contact information.

However, customers can make a very focussed selection via variables like sector experience, specialist area and function group, work experience, education, specialist skills etc. Even references can be included in the assessment when it concerns interim professionals with Premium membership.

A sufficiently large part of the profile of an interim professional is shown to customers during searches. A customer can therefore use the profiles to make a proper assessment as to whether the interim professionals are of interest. Only then do the customers need to request possible name and address details in order to establish further contact. The service is free of charge up to that point.

14. Who has access to my registered details?

 

Only seriously interested customers can establish contact with interim professionals and the same applies vice versa. We can always trace who establishes contact with whom. From a privacy point of view, interim profiles can't instantly be found by name and surname on the internet. Customers therefore need to be logged in themselves and dip into a very small amount of their budget in order to see an interim professional's complete profile, including contact information.

When an interim professional decides to react to an interim assignment via Planet Interim, which has been placed on this website directly, then the complete profile, including contact information, will be sent to the advertiser/customer. 15. Some assignments are confidential. How can I make my profile less recognisable?

 

An interim professional can decide to make his or her profile less recognisable for various different reasons. For example, because interim assignments are confidential in connection with reorganisations to be carried out.

In such cases we would recommend not using the company names of the customers in question, but to describe these instead. For example, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. could be described as "Major Dutch Retail Bank". Plus the names of departments or positions could also be described differently compared to what they are referred to internally or with people in the know.

16. I have Premium membership. Why am I not receiving any interim assignments via the email notification?

 

Many of the source websites where Planet Interim inventorises the interim assignments unfortunately don't mention any rates. This means that if you have selected a rate range with your notifications, then you will miss out on all the interim assignments without a rate indication. It is therefore recommended to set rate range preferences (don't select anything), thereby ensuring you will receive assignments which satisfy your (other) preferences.

18. Why can't I communicate regarding assignments on Planet Interim via telephone or email?

 

Planet Interim is an independent interim platform which is used by interim professionals, employers and mediators. Planet Interim doesn't assess possible matches, but facilitates all parties in the interim market. In order to get in touch with the customer or mediator in question, you will first need to look at the assignment and register in case you're interested, or log in to Planet Interim, which will subsequently allow you to react to the assignments.

Planet Interim offers the possibility for customers to invite or reject interim professionals and interim professionals can apply or turn down possible invitations. All correspondence can be provided with a reason or further information. Neatly standardised and personalised email notification, either in Dutch or English, provides extra support for communication between the customer and the interim professional.

20. How up to date are the assignments on Planet Interim?

 

Speed is an absolute must where interim assignments are concerned. This is why an inventory of all interim assignments of dozens of interim sites in the Dutch, Belgian, French, UK and German market is prepared at twice a day. These assignments are recognised and given uniform codes based on advanced technology and are therefore comparable and searchable. Plus there is naturally also the supply of assignments which have been directly placed on Planet Interim (which are always at the top of the search results and will receive more exposure).

Assignments are automatically removed after 14 days. This means that even if an interim assignment is still online on a source website, we will still no longer show it. The daily updates don't just include placing assignments, but also the removal and adjustment of these.

21. Is Planet Interim an agency and is a fee or commission payable when a match is achieved?

 

No. Planet Interim is a an independent platform. Our mission is to make the interim market more transparent. We are independent and not affiliated with a temping agency or interim mediation company, advocacy, bank or insurer and the like.

Planet Interim is a sophisticated marketplace that facilitates matching functionality and relevant information. As a result matches can be achieved in a more cost efficient and effective way. Through delivering quality services at low prices, we want to achieve quantity, both as with regard to the number of registered (paying premium) interim professionals as the number of directly placed interim assignments.
