Per 1 Januari 2010 heeft Philips op corporate niveau Philips Waehousing & Distributie EMEA opgestart. Deze organisatie is daarmee verantwoordelijk geworden voor alle fysieke distributie processen in de EMEA (Europa, Midden Oosten en Afrika) voor alle drie sectoren (Lighting, Lifestyle en Healthcare) binnen Philips.
Als culster directeur ben ik verantwoordelijk voor all fysieke distributie in Rusland, Midden Oosten, Afrika en Dc's in Ierland, Duitsland en Finland.
Een onderdeel van de functie is het vorm geven van de nieuwe organisatie.

Tasks, responsibilities and results:
In April 2009 heeft Philips Lighting een nieuwe organisatorische structuur geïntroduceerd. Philips Lighting Distributie hield op te bestaan en de logistieke functies rapporteerden direct aan de VP “Order to Deliver”. In deze structuur werd mijn verantwoordelijk uitgebreid met het cluster Midden Oosten en Afrika met Dc’s in Johannesburg, Casablanca, Tanger, Cairo and Dubai.
In deze functie ben ik lid van het management team “Order to deliver”voor de regio Europa, Midden Oosten en Afrika en het management team verantwoordelijk voor de herstructurering van de Europese fysieke distributie structuur, inclusief de integratie van een aquisitie. Tevens afgevaardigde voor de sector Lighting om een shared service centre op te richten dat de fysieke distributie moet gaan verzorgen voor alle sectoren van Philips in de EMEA regio.
Projecten
• Herstructurering Europese distributie structuur (verantwoordelijk voor magazijn-, en transport processen en implementatie van Philips acquisities).
• Opzetten corporate afdeling voor fysieke distributie (verantwoordelijk voor implementatie van de sector Lighting)
• Implementeren performance indicatoren in het Midden Oosten en Afrika
• Invoeren “activity based costing”
Resultaten:
• Kosten reductie van 30% per jaar op uitbesteed magazijn in de U.K.
• Kosten structuren meer flexibel gemaakt. Neergang in activiteiten (naar aanleiding van de economische teruggang) budget neutraal gemanaged in de EMEA regio.
• Medewerkers tevredenheid score verhoogd
• Operationele proces indicatoren boven de target

Tasks, responsibilities and results:
Na herstructurering van de afdeling de sites Oss en Roosendaal ondergebracht bij andere Philips onderdelen. Nieuwe verantwoordelijkheden gekregen in Mäntsälä (Fin) en Brackmills (UK). Eindverantwoordelijk voor de afhandeling van fysieke distributie en material handling. Strategie bepaling voor deze sites en ontwikkeling van logistieke concepten / diensten die aansluiten bij de Philips Lighting strategie. Lid management team van de business unit Philips Lighting Distribution. Direct leidinggevend aan 14 FTE's indirect aan +/- 300 FTE's. Budget verantwoordelijk voor +/- 50 milj. Euro.
Projecten:
• Insourcing material handling processen en fysieke distributie van een Philips Lighting fabriek in Finland
• Herstructureren van de opzet material handling in Roosendaal
• Invoeren LEAN principes
Resultaten:
• 20% lagere fysieke distributie kosten Centraal Zuid Europa regio
• Verbeterde operationele resultaten inclusief nieuwe sites Finland en Polen
• Lagere kosten Finland en Polen
• Efficiency verbetering alle sites
