Planet Interim set up a system through which affiliated interim professionals can distinguish themselves through recommendations. Proven quality thus becomes more visible to employers in advance. With a few clicks, professionals can request recommendations from their (former) employers or clients only for positions, projects or assignments they have actually filled.

ONLINE PLATFORMS MATCH TOO MUCH AT PRICE?

A common complaint among interim professionals and ZZP'ers about online platforms is that they only select on price. Niels van Berkel, director of Planet Interim: "Some employers and interim professionals think that a good quality match cannot be achieved via the internet. However, if online the first contact can be achieved for love, then wouldn't it be possible for an interim assignment? 'Online' does not replace face-to-face contact and personal judgement but ensures that face-to-face contact can be used more effectively."

Better ONLINE MATCHING OF INTERIMMERS

Van Berkel wants Planet Interim to develop online tools that better facilitate the matching process. "Think recommendations from interimmers, automatically customised matching between assignment and interimmer, more transparency in rate setting, better information provision and better insight into the market as a whole. Taken together, these features create more efficiency and are matched more effectively." Van Berkel: "As good online platforms offer comfort, save a mountain of time and money and now focus on both price and quality, the breakthrough of online intermediation of interimmers is taking shape. After going through the initial online steps, both parties will start the face-to-face contact in a more focused way with more chances of a good outcome."

WHO IS TO SEE THE RECOMMENDATIONS?

Recommendations are related to a job, project or assignment. The interim professional himself requests the recommendation from the (former) employer with a few clicks. The interim professional also decides whether the recommendation is accepted and becomes visible in his or her profile on Planet Interim. The content of the recommendations is only visible to employers who are logged in at Planet Interim and therefore known to Planet Interim. So people cannot spontaneously leave stories and put them online. A recommendation is only visible in a closed section for logged-in employers and is of course only shown upon invitation and with permission of the professional.
